10 ways to build up the anger

1. Sleep at 3 am and get up at 7 am — go into zombie mode.

2. Skip the breakfast, because you have a vendor meeting — which includes 1 hour of train travel and a half hour of the cab.

3. Choose the Mumbai’s Kaali Peeli cab. Enter the stagnated traffic. And, enjoy the necessary honking and swearing of the other drivers.

4. Call the vendor who is delaying the delivery of the components for your product launch; Get a call from the quality team regarding a quality issue; Then, another call from the Purchase Manager about a procurement problem; One more call from another vendor, saying— to make his due payments; And, the loop continues.

5. Pile up more than required responsibilities. And, don’t talk to your lead. Why? Because you don’t prefer showing your work. It’s his job to find out — Ego, you know.

6. Wonder on what Research & Development (work profile) you did in the last couple of months? But, then you fool yourself with an answer — Look at the bigger picture. This product launch is critical. It will make us a successful company. And, perhaps, yourself.

7. On the way back to the office — you think to listen to some music. And, guess what, the phone’s charge is 30% and your phone would die at any point of time — faulty battery, you know. Again, your power bank is drained. Even though, you had kept it on charging the earlier night. But, your dad has taken an oath to save the energy.

8. Skip lunch and have a check on the timeline of the product launch. Go again through the entire structure — to verify whether you have missed nothing. Make a mental note of the bottlenecks and dependencies. In short — possibilities of fuck-ups; internal, external or both.

9. Dispense coffee from the machine. Discussions & followups with series of people. And, forget about the unfinished coffee — end up drinking tepid one. That’s a terrible injustice to coffee.

10. Someone asks — what’s up ?You look stressed? 10th doesn’t need to be a reasonable one.

Later, I did a couple of things to cool my anger — went home early, ate food and two good hours of nap. Continued my cooking lessons — trying to de-clutter negativity.
