My poetry style

Everyone seems to have a different creative writing process for poetry. I like to take an abstract idea. Usually, I write from an interesting perspective, such as a bird, and I will have some goal or topic I want to convey through my poem. I like to break up my poems into several stanzas to break up or relate topics.

I think the easiest part of writing poetry is writing the rough draft. Getting the stanzas and points across how I want them. Something I struggle with is meaningful alliteration. I feel that my vocabulary needs to be expanded.

Something that really surprised me about my writing style is how easily I can regurgitate content to work with. I find myself writing a lot in a short period of time and then spending lots of refinement work on my poems. I really think I can improve my refinement process and include more alliteration in my poems.
