Expecting Perfection is the Enemy of All Relationships

If you go yin, I have to go yang. Eventually.

If you want to understand why relationships break up, over time, all of them, you have to visualize your self, sleeping, with, the enemy. Meaning, if you go yin, you are forcing me to go yang. And, always, vice versa.

This takes a while to see. In any relationship. At first, everyone is accommodating. Or, at least-half-the-time, everyone is accommodating. And, then, all hell breaks loose. Truth shows up. At the table. In the bedroom. You know the rest.

This story is repeated over and over. Watch crime shows. Mysteries. Comedy. Game shows. Sports. Weather. Politics. News. Drama. Any situation is a set-up. Yin vs yang. It is impossible to get away from a circle.

Therefore, we need forgiveness, all of us. Meaning, we have to forgive others, in advance, for their behavior, which is a mirror, for our behavior. We’re involved with it. We’re entangled by it. We’re stuck with it.

For half-of-us, this is a wonderful opportunity. For others, I don’t have to tell you. Figure out which half you want to be (it’s already been figured out for you).

Conservation of the circle is the core dynamic in nature.
